Guest Bjorn Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Hi I've a problem on our Primary DNS server. After we installed sp2 and this hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=941672 The DNS service uses to much memory. In the artikel it say to install a hotfix to solve this problem. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=946565 After instaling this update the problems is'nt solved. Is there someone who has this same problem? Can I remove the hotfix 946565 and 941672? Can I savely remove 941672 by using SPUNINST.exe from C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB941672_0$\spuninst ? Guest PA Bear [MS MVP] Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 If anything, you'd uninstall 946565. I would not uninstall 941672. Start a free Windows Update support incident request: https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=6527 Support for Windows Update: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/wusupport Customers can receive technical support by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY in the United States and in Canada or by contacting your local Microsoft subsidiary. When you call, clearly state that your problem is related to a Security Update and cite the update's KB number (e.g., KB941672).
