Guest John Barnett MVP Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 No. Many people have two or three anti spyware applications on their PC with two of the most popular being Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. -- -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows Desktop Experience Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is". Guest DL Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Excepting Adaware apparently conflicts with certain AV applications, F-Secure being one. And you dont mention any AV application "Gui.." <Gui@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4850534C-B7F3-4E65-9DFF-C792C5EA575A@microsoft.com... > my windows vista came with windows defender (i think all come) > but i also installed ad-aware 2007 which is an antispyware program too.Is > there any problem to have 2 antispywares on my pc? Quote

Just don't run simultaneous scans on them. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup Quote

Guest Michael J Lewin Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 ALL MOST all Malware/Antivirus/ Antispyware programs have a problem when there both enabled at the same time. Even if the are not they will find the Quarantine file of the other program and mark it as a spy ware, this can be by pass by adding the other anti spyware program in to ignore the files in that directory, this is what i did and haven't had any problems since. But when it comes to Antivirus programs its not nearly so simple so I suggests to use just one and delete the other. Good luck. (MIKE) Quote
