Anyone know why the previous recommendation was 42 days and not a round number?

 

And now we have "default" 42 days and "recommended" 90 days...why did that

change from 42 to 90 days?

42 days is a logical number... in weeks (6).

 

However - I like to think 42 was original chosen because it is the ultimate

answer to life, the universe and everything... It's a much happier thought.

 

You should not consider the default or recommendations beyond what they are

(just numbers) and consider what makes sense for your environment. 6 weeks?

6 months? 3 months? A year?
