Guest Mick Murphy Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Below is good Security Programs. You can use your own; but also scan in Safe Mode to delete stubborn probs. http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html Avast Anti-Virus is Vista compatible (32bit and 64bit Versions), FREE, auto-updating, and a low resources user of your computer. And, only have 1(one) Anti-Virus installed / running on your computer at any one time.. Conflicts may occur if you have more than 1(one). http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html Spybot Search & Destroy 1.5.2 is a very good, FREE Anti-Spyware Program. Download, install, update, and immunize your System with it. Then SCAN with it. Update once a fortnight. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html SpywareBlaster 4.0 is a non-intrusive, FREE Anti-Spyware Program that runs in the background. Update it once a fortnight, and let it do its work in the background! If you happen to find a problem that you can’t uninstall / delete, reboot the computer, and go into Safe Mode. To get into Safe mode, tap F8 right at Power On/ Startup, and use UP and DOWN arrow keys to get to Safe Mode, then hit ENTER. RESCAN your computer with Avast and Spybot S & D while in Safe Mode. -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "jaquar001" wrote: > i install fresh copy of vista home premium then i brows some sites and later > installed kaspersky v7 with internet securty which is now fully update. when > i run system scan it caught 5-6 viruses which i remove.i am facing my system > halted sometime especially with explorer.exe, also my window update service > is disable and not start automatically after system login ?? > continous hanging up and such stuff putting me in doubt that there is still > something with my pc causing it performance bad. > i am using Real administrator account(built in).my antivirus not reporting > any virus now. > also...i found some RUNDLL32 entries in LOCAL SYSTEM?RUN named as > (1)Rundll32.exe "C:Windowssystem32mufaxpmg.dll",s > (2)rundll32.exe "C:Windowssystem32hxldqwhr.dll",b > (3)RUNDLL32.EXE C:Windowssystem32nvsvc.dll,nvsvcStart > (4)RUNDLL32.EXE C:Windowssystem32NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit > (5)RUNDLL32.EXE C:Windowssystem32NvCpl.dll,NvStartup > > what are these above entries for ??? these entried are available in regisry > RUN. > infact i recived some message that > your windows performance is not good so install this and this SPYWARE, i > cancle or click OK, i take me into a webpage.. > such things putting me in doubt.. > > can you help me out what to do ?? > i already run SFC/SCANNOW in cmd to check file missing > i already scan my c drive during bootup.. > > pls help.. thanks > Quote

Guest Mick Murphy Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 You can use both. You can have Spybot S & D for scanning manually when you have a problem, or to check for problems once a fortnight, or once a month, depending on what you do on the Net, Spywareblaster runs in the background. All you have to do is update it manually, not scan with it. It stops spyware being downloaded from websites itself!! -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "jaquar001" wrote: > tanks for yur reply,as u mentioed 2 of anti spyware i.e, spybot and > spywareblaster.can i use both of these or anyone ? > pls replyy > > "Mick Murphy" wrote: > > > Below is good Security Programs. > > You can use your own; but also scan in Safe Mode to delete stubborn probs. > > > > http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html > > > > Avast Anti-Virus is Vista compatible (32bit and 64bit Versions), FREE, > > auto-updating, and a low resources user of your computer. > > And, only have 1(one) Anti-Virus installed / running on your computer at any > > one time.. > > Conflicts may occur if you have more than 1(one). > > > > http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html > > > > Spybot Search & Destroy 1.5.2 is a very good, FREE Anti-Spyware Program. > > Download, install, update, and immunize your System with it. > > Then SCAN with it. > > Update once a fortnight. > > > > http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html > > > > SpywareBlaster 4.0 is a non-intrusive, FREE Anti-Spyware Program that runs > > in the background. > > Update it once a fortnight, and let it do its work in the background! > > > > If you happen to find a problem that you can’t uninstall / delete, reboot > > the computer, and go into Safe Mode. > > To get into Safe mode, tap F8 right at Power On/ Startup, and use UP and > > DOWN arrow keys to get to Safe Mode, then hit ENTER. > > RESCAN your computer with Avast and Spybot S & D while in Safe Mode. > > > > -- > > Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia > > > > > > "jaquar001" wrote: > > > > > i install fresh copy of vista home premium then i brows some sites and later > > > installed kaspersky v7 with internet securty which is now fully update. when > > > i run system scan it caught 5-6 viruses which i remove.i am facing my system > > > halted sometime especially with explorer.exe, also my window update service > > > is disable and not start automatically after system login ?? > > > continous hanging up and such stuff putting me in doubt that there is still > > > something with my pc causing it performance bad. > > > i am using Real administrator account(built in).my antivirus not reporting > > > any virus now. > > > also...i found some RUNDLL32 entries in LOCAL SYSTEM?RUN named as > > > (1)Rundll32.exe "C:Windowssystem32mufaxpmg.dll",s > > > (2)rundll32.exe "C:Windowssystem32hxldqwhr.dll",b > > > (3)RUNDLL32.EXE C:Windowssystem32nvsvc.dll,nvsvcStart > > > (4)RUNDLL32.EXE C:Windowssystem32NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit > > > (5)RUNDLL32.EXE C:Windowssystem32NvCpl.dll,NvStartup > > > > > > what are these above entries for ??? these entried are available in regisry > > > RUN. > > > infact i recived some message that > > > your windows performance is not good so install this and this SPYWARE, i > > > cancle or click OK, i take me into a webpage.. > > > such things putting me in doubt.. > > > > > > can you help me out what to do ?? > > > i already run SFC/SCANNOW in cmd to check file missing > > > i already scan my c drive during bootup.. > > > > > > pls help.. thanks > > > Quote
Guest DL Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 The Nv files are from Nvidea I expect your graphics card. (Nvidea settings & the like) The other two (1&2) are malaware / trojans as seen by the spyware popup you receive.
