Remote Control Standard User Account - Elevation Prompt issues

Recommended Posts

Posted

I've got several laptops running Vista Business that I'd like to remotely

administer. All the users have Standard User IDs. I've used a

tightVNC-based product to Remote Control these laptops, however, when I'm

trying to do something that requires elevation to Administrator, I cannot

enter the password, I have to ask them to do it....which defeats the purpose

of making them Standard Users in the first place. Can anyone tell me how I

can remote control another PC and have the ability to elevate myself if

required during the session? Much thanks.

You can use remote desktop connection, and log in as an admin.
