I am attempting to install a program (Peachtree by Sage) to my new laptop, in

order to have the set-up done right it says "Some anti-virus and firewall

software interferes with the installation of Peachtree Accounting. We

recommend you temporarily disable these applications before continuing;

otherwise, the installation may fail. You can safely re-enable this software

after installing Peachtree Accounting." I have already turned off my

firewall and even uninstalled the norton anti-virus software that came along

with the laptop. How can I go about turning off everything so that I am able

to install this program? -Thank you

That's probably all you needed to do. You actually didn't need to be so

draconian and uninstall Norton, either.

Identify what ( feasible security applications other than norton would work

with Peachtree ) peachtree support can answer those for you and next is make

sure, locking down your system with intense security application may

contribute to your concerns. Also understand that peachtree apps needs to

have some ports open and it have to be modified manually on your or future

security settings.
