Guest MowGreen [MVP] Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Re: vista ultimate 64 bit and have trouble with CA INTERNET SECURITY32 bit No. Try another AV. Avast offers a FREE x64 version that is compatible with Vista: http://www.avast.com/eng/x64.html Use the native Vista software firewall in conjunction with a hardware firewall included in a wired or wireless router. That will provide sufficient protection. The vendors of 64 bit AV software include Avast as mentioned by MowGreen and AVG. There is also a enterprise version from Symantec available ( not Norton AV) . You may want to post in the newsgroup dedicated to 64 bit Windows (including Vista), namely microsoft.public.windows.64bit.general . By no means should you downgrade to Vista Ultimate 32 bit just because of the lack of a CA anti-virus software version. -- Allan Quote
