Router firewall settings

Hi,

i need to know something about router firewall rules. What should i type in

the this fields?

 

Source LAN start ip address end ip address

Dest WAN start ip address end ip address protocol port range

 

What is start ip and end ip address? I know something about tcp and udp

protocols. Also i need to know what is port range?

I'm just guessing: you can put a range of IPs in both source and

destination, and specify the port numbers. Definitely there is distinction

between TCP and UDP - I don't know if it's missing from the UI or your

question.

 

Please check the router vendor doco for details.
