Guest Collette Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I use Windows Defender and spybot. Everytime I try to do a scan my computer shuts down before the scan is complete... often within a few minutes of starting scan. I need to be able to do a complete scan. I have noticed my curser jumping to some bizzare spot while I am typing, but nothing else unusual. Quote

For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus, whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you owe it to the author. Guest Collette Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Thank you for the reply. I have repeatedly tried to scan without success since I posted... am currently running a Windows OneCare safety scan, (second attempt, first attempt shut my computer down as with spybot and defender) hope it works. I will surely visit the sites you recomended.
