Guest meteore Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I am running avg 8 under WindowsVista for months. Today I get message "a .bin file is missing", when trying to update new files. I tried reinstalling and uninstalling program several times. It didnt work. I tried system restore. It didn't work either. What caused tis problem and what is the solution? I am very pleased with this program and want to retain it. Roger Quote
Guest Lance Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 My SIL had the same problem. Turns out to be AVG is having problems with their site. Try a few times and it will eventually work. Guest Lance Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 that is, try updating a few times and it'll eventually download the updates. The updates are contained in '.bin' files.
