My basement computer has one or more of the above subject matter.

Adware identifies it as fsrrecc.sys. It says it will remove it one the next

boot but it does not.

I loaded Windows Defender with updates but it does not detect it.

Any suggestions?

Please submit a sample to Virus Total --

http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

The submission will then be tested against many different AV vendor's scanners.

That will give you an idea what it is and who recognizes it. In addition Virus

Total will provide the sample to all participating vendors.

You can also submit a suspect, one at a time, via the following email URL...

mailto:scan@virustotal.com?subject=SCAN

When you get the report, please post back the exact results

Sorry, I failed to mention that the file is in my windows\system32 directory

and my system32 directory is not visable. I was going to delete it from there

but the directory does not show up.

Further suggestions are welcome.
