Guest BobK Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Hello, I just started to get very slow speeds (several minutes) when using IE6, FF2.0, and Filezilla FTP. So my Web access is really slow but email and OE6 Newsreader seems OK. I ran Adaware, SpyBot, and Super Antispyware plus AVG with no problems showing. Does anyone have an idea what I might do for checking a Web slow down but not an Internet in general slowdown? Thanks, Bob Quote

Guest ~BD~ Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Hi Bob This might be totally irrelevant, but I caught an Item on BBC news yesterday complaining that British Telecom (BT) have a deliberate policy of slowing down data transmission for their customers whenever they, BT, deem it appropriate! I think the item mentioned that many other ISP's do likewise! Just a thought! I've found I have to end the program every few days and restart it. The problem is documented in the SAS forums. Quote
