no windows security center icon in taskbar

i know really dumb to say but i would like the icon there...have gone

to firewall...change the way security center notifies me...have tried

don't notify me but display icon...yes notify me and display the

icon...but no icon appears...have also gone to the windows firewall

settings dialouge box and have checked the box notify me when firewall

blocks a new program...but still no icon.......firewall does work and

blocks programs can't understand why i don't have an icon though.

I'm not totally sure but I think it only appears when there is a

problem that needs fixing, so if everything is switched on in security

centre there wont be a icon in the taskbar.

 

If you need to see if it works, try turning the firewall off and see

what happens, just don't forget to turn it back on.

You will only see a notification icon in the "Tray" when there is a problem,

such as when the firewall is turned off, UAC is turned off or Windows cannot

detect the presence of antivirus software.
