Guest RJK Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I haven't a clue ! ...I looked at your, (4th on this thread), post header / Properties, that I tried to "Reply to Group" with, and just wondered if any of it was what my OE / or MS GN server objected to with the "malformed header" warning ! ....and even though I copied and pasted in plain text, ...all that stuff is not appearing as it does when viewing that 4th post | properties | details | Message Source ? regards, Richard "BoaterDave" <BoaterDave@hotmail.co.uk> wrote in message news:cf1f6993-4d9a-43e0-b6e7-bec402c65108@r66g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... > On 10 Sep, 10:57, "RJK" <notatos...@hotmail.com> wrote: >> e.g. ? >> >> From: "~BD~" <BoaterD...@nospam.invalid> >> References: <OdCCegf3HHA.4476@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> >> <Ok#FDu$4HHA.1...@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl> >> <efmicmI5HHA.4...@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> >> <eXkj9RJ5HHA.4...@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl> >> <XtGdnTPldJuFQlPbnZ2dnUVZ_hadn...@bright.net> >> <Xns9997127BF7B03HHI2948AJD...@69.28.186.121> >> <M4adnSamyaHcSVLbnZ2dnUVZ_vein...@bright.net> >> <Xns99991C9459FA5HHI2948AJD...@69.28.186.121> >> <cJudnfB5hf4nDk_bnZ2dnUVZ_sSln...@bright.net> >> <Xns999CB36A7766EHHI2948AJD...@69.28.186.121> >> <rLudndgZ9ZxOoUXbnZ2dnUVZ_ommn...@bright.net> >> <Xns999E853BD1C6FHHI2948AJD...@69.28.186.121> >> <epDBVsU7HHA....@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> >> <Xns999F75E1EF697HHI2948AJD...@69.28.186.121> >> <#tXjnLf8HHA.4...@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl> >> <uqzLOCWAIHA.1...@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl> >> <D9CF1052-EBB7-463E-974D-295D419E2...@microsoft.com> >> <BD.3fd...@news.home.local> <u6wrvsPEJHA.4...@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> >> <7648cfa1-c7aa-4247-8a84-ee760fe4a...@f63g2000hsf.googlegroups.com> >> Subject: Re: The newbie's dilemma! >> Date: Sun, 7 Sep 2008 20:43:03 +0100 >> Lines: 43 >> X-Priority: 3 >> X-MSMail-Priority: Normal >> X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.5512 >> X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.5579 >> X-RFC2646: Format=Flowed; Original >> Message-ID: <OyCGtHSEJHA.1268@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl> >> Newsgroups: microsoft.public.security.virus >> NNTP-Posting-Host: host-92-0-202-70.as43234.net 92.0.202.70 >> Path: TK2MSFTNGP01.phx.gbl!TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl >> Xref: TK2MSFTNGP01.phx.gbl microsoft.public.security.virus:82677 > > Hi Richard! You've no doubt noticed that when I post using Outlook Express, I'm using ~BD~ an my 'nickname'. When checking on my PC at the 4th in this thread, I see "References: <OdCCegf3HHA.4476@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl>". (Same as you in the first line of References) When posting from Google Groups I use BoaterDave. On checking here, in OE, the 3rd post all the References are showing in the Properties just as you have indicated. Puzzled, I looked again at the Properties box for the post from OE. Then I noticed ... Doh! There are scroll bars! So I copied and pasted everything I could under References: and pasted it into Notepad (word wrap). This was the result: References: <OdCCegf3HHA.4476@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> <Ok#FDu$4HHA.1148@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl> <efmicmI5HHA.4476@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> <eXkj9RJ5HHA.4164@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl> <XtGdnTPldJuFQlPbnZ2dnUVZ_hadnZ2d@bright.net> <Xns9997127BF7B03HHI2948AJD832@69.28.186.121> <M4adnSamyaHcSVLbnZ2dnUVZ_veinZ2d@bright.net> <Xns99991C9459FA5HHI2948AJD832@69.28.186.121> <cJudnfB5hf4nDk_bnZ2dnUVZ_sSlnZ2d@bright.net> <Xns999CB36A7766EHHI2948AJD832@69.28.186.121> <rLudndgZ9ZxOoUXbnZ2dnUVZ_ommnZ2d@bright.net> <Xns999E853BD1C6FHHI2948AJD832@69.28.186.121> <epDBVsU7HHA.536@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> <Xns999F75E1EF697HHI2948AJD832@69.28.186.121> <#tXjnLf8HHA.4436@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl> <uqzLOCWAIHA.1204@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl> <D9CF1052-EBB7-463E-974D-295D419E2892@microsoft.com> <BD.3fdckm@news.home.local> <u6wrvsPEJHA.4092@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl> <7648cfa1-c7aa-4247-8a84-ee760fe4a151@f63g2000hsf.googlegroups.com> As far as I can tell- it is EXACTLY the same information as shown in the header from google.!!!! Hopefully then ............. Your question "... ~BD~ 's security has been compromised ?" has been answered in the negative (but one never knows! <wink!> No doubt there are complicated technical reasons for showing things in a different format, but I suspect I don't really need to know! (or do I?!!) Dave Quote
