Virus- launches Internet Explorer

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have some kind of virus that automatically launches Internet Explorer

windows. The large letters "WWW" flash at the bottom right of my screen and

and IE window opens one after the other. Sometimes it is just a few. But

I've had 50 or more pop up before I have to shut the machine down. Once it

starts, I haven't found a way to stop it. It doesn't seem to damage my

machine or data, but bogs it down so I can't do anything.

I've run numerous virus scans, spyware/malware scans, and even ran my system

restore disc. No viruses or malicious files were found. And the system

restore did not get rid of it.

I haven't been able to figure out a pattern on what triggers it. Sometimes

just a few pop up then it will stop. Sometimes there is a break for a few

minutes, sometimes hours, and rarely days. It doesn't seem to happen when

I'm at work where I don't have an internet connection, but it has on a few

occasions. It happens mostly at home, even when I turn off my wireless.

I don't even know what it might be to do a detailed search on how to deal

with it. Does anyone know or have any ideas? My only idea now is to try

and reformat the entire hard drive, but I don't have the operating system

disc.

Thanks

Use my Remove-it software, it will remove that malware from your system.

Choose yes for all options when prompted. Download it here

Ignore any posts made by the Stalker Leythos, he's still in love with me.

He started stalking me after I spurned his advances towards me.

He said he would stop Stalking me If I stopped mentioning his name.

As you can see that does not work. He is a sick obsessive STALKER.

You said you ran... "...numerous virus scans, spyware/malware scans..."

It is important to state WHICH ones you have used.

Before you wipe the system and install the OS again...

Do you really want to trust someone that was banned from posting

directly to Microsoft Usenet servers, someone that has posted links to

pornographic materials on HIS WEBSITE, who's website is in the MVP HOST

Block list, and who provides a tool for your use that will block access

to reputable anti-malware sites without telling you he's doing it?

Do you really want to trust someone that has had to change their posting

identity after being busted by MS as a fake MVP?

Stalking, even in usenet is a crime, there are enough pages from your

filthy site to prove you're stalking me in your posts, I have them

documented and certified authentic - it's your call now Stalker.
