Guest farmersam Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Greetings, On Vista Enterprise, a user installed Solid Works 2006. After he installed, it ran fine, but when he restarted his PC for something, a security icon appeared over the program shortcut. He has no 'Run as Administrator' option, either on the Desktop or in the Program Folder in the Start Menu. What gives? Any help is appreciated. -- farmersam Quote

If this is an important program for your user, check with the software mftr. for an updated version that works with Vista, patches, workarounds, etc. If nothing is available you might try running the program in compatibility mode. Refer to Vista's Help & Support for instructions. Or find another program that is supported in Vista that will do what your user needs. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
