Guest paulreims@gmail.com Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Hello, I want to enable machine based 802.1x authentication ou our network, using the certificate distributed by our own Windows-PKI. For Windows XP SP2, we found the solution to do it via the GUI(anyone can point me to the correct GPO-Settings?). For Windows Vista, the only solution seems to be to do it via an XML file as discribed in KB 929847(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929847/ en-us). is there any easier way to configure this and a possibility to configure this via GPO? Thanx in advance Best regards PR Quote
Guest S. Pidgorny Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 The KB you're referring to is to disable user auth and such. For starters, check http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc194418.aspx -- Svyatoslav Pidgorny, MCSE, RHCE -= F1 is the key =- http://sl.mvps.org http://msmvps.com/blogs/sp paulreims@gmail.com wrote:<span style="color:blue"> > Hello, > I want to enable machine based 802.1x authentication ou our network, > using the certificate distributed by our own Windows-PKI. > > For Windows XP SP2, we found the solution to do it via the GUI(anyone > can point me to the correct GPO-Settings?). > For Windows Vista, the only solution seems to be to do it via an XML > file as discribed in KB 929847(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929847/ > en-us). is there any easier way to configure this and a possibility to > configure this via GPO? > > > Thanx in advance > Best regards > > PR</span> Quote
