Guest Anthony Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Ok here's the thing, I reloaded Vista and did not reload all my programs. I haven't added any more data that was in the previous install (from backup) How ever there is now much less room on my HD. What I'm wondering is this, are there any viruses that eat up your HD space with out causing any other symptoms. I have Live One care and it reports no viruses, but I just cant explain where my HD space went. Quote

Yes there is malware that can consume space. However there are OS processes that can as well; the System Restore cache, IE TIF, TEMP folders, Windows Update download cache, etc. Without quantitative information there is nothing to go by. -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html Multi-AV - http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/dl/35905.asp Quote
