Check the WindowsUpdate.log located in %windir%. The most recent entries

are at the bottom:

How to read the Windowsupdate.log file

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902093

Then either post back with any FATAL or WARNING error codes here or to

the WS General NG:

There's a cookie issue. You'd be better off posting this issue to the WS

NG so that someone more familiar with WS2K3 can assist you, Roger.

I can only offer theories on this issue -

1. Security software/settings, proxy/or firewall

[Any sec software that blocks or controls cookies. Any WS2K3 setting

that has to do with cookies]

2. An XML issue. Not sure which version of XML comes with WS2K3 but the

Windows Update Agent needs msxml3.dll in order to allow SOAP

transactions. You could try registering the .dll from the Run line

regsvr32 msxml3.dll

But, if the issue is caused by 1. , it may not resolve the issue or

resolve it for a brief period of time.
