Guest news.microsoft.com Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Do not pay attention to those who recommend this crap software. I uninstalled it and the icons cannot be removed from the desktop! I can neither drag and drop them in the recycle bin nor right-click them and delete. Why the hell are the MVPs recommending something like this to people? Quote

If people knew everything there was to know, they wouldn't be asking questions, and even though I don't have many answers, I'm happy to share the things I know...which isn't much, but at least I try. There used to be a poster in Win98 named Shep, what a wonderful help he was to everybody, and he did it with so much patience. I miss him and Win98. Cheri Quote

Any problems with the use of TweakVI should be directed at the people responsible for TweakVI.. -- Mike Hall - MVP How to construct a good post.. http://dts-l.com/goodpost.htm How to use the Microsoft Product Support Newsgroups.. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...whelp&style=toc Mike's Window - My Blog.. http://msmvps.com/blogs/mikehall/default.aspx Quote

I used to have TweakUI on Win98, and somebody gave a link to TweakUAC which I found helpful to control the UAC. I very much appreciated the information, but I have never heard of TweakVI. So, what's the problem with saying that to the poster, instead of how stupid he is etc., not saying you did, but some did. I just don't see the point, but I'm not in charge of manners, just sayin.
