Guest freddy Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Hi, I am not able to create a shortcut to a application on a shared network folder. On a XP machine it is no problem, but it is not possible on a vista machine. The server is windows 2008 in a workgroup. I think this is a security problem and hope somebody has a solution. Kind regards Freddy Quote

Then copy and paste the shortcut to the Vista machine. See if that works. You might have to take ownership of the shortcut when you get it to the Vista machine, but hopefully the copy/paste will do that for you. One note: make sure you can run the program from Vista by dbl-clicking on the program in the shared folder first. If you can't do that, we have to fix something different. Quote
