hi mrnewgui, welcome to the vista forums :party:

'Offline NT Password & Registry Editor'

(http://home.eunet.no/%7Epnordahl/ntpasswd/)

follow the instructions carefully - and it is vista compatible although

I think the site says XP as latest OS.

UBCD has an NTFS account psw reset.

Also he can activate the hidden built-in Admin account for back-up.

<http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-windows-vista/>

However, he shouldn't use the built-in Admin account for everyday useage.

Hi

have you got the .ISO file on the USB or have you burned the actual

files to the stick. the ISO has to be burned to create a bootable media.

have not done this with USB stick myself but should work as long as USB

is enabled as bootable drive in BIOS. The is a tutorial in the tutorials

section here which explains Bootable USB will try to locate it but you

may want to have a look yourself as I have to rush out to the day job style_emoticons/
