Guest Andrew C Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Hi I have added in a new security group to our AD. But when assisnging permissions and tick "Replace all objects with inheritable permissions" it applies the permissions to some files/folders but not all. I am using an administrator account to apply these permissions. Can someone help out as to why this may be happening Thanks Andrew Quote
Guest kbits.net Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 You mentioned creating a security group in AD then assigning permissions to a share. I assume this is a share/file permissions question. If so in the parent directory assure you have disabled inherit and enabled replace. Then on each child that is not inheriting assure none have inherit disabled. Hope this helps. "Andrew C" wrote: <span style="color:blue"> > Hi > > I have added in a new security group to our AD.
