Guest Arne Garvander Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I have to log in before I shut down. Is there a setting that allows me to shutdown without log in? Non-admin can't shutdown at all. Is there a setting to change that? (I am using my server as work station and not as a normal server.) -- Arne Garvander (I program VB.Net for fun and C# to get paid. Guest Marco Peretti Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Arne, >I have to log in before I shut down. You will find an option named something like "Shutdown: allow system shutdown without having to log on" and change the setting to "Enabled" > Non-admin can't shutdown at all. Is there a setting to change that? That's a different setting: Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment. then add the users and\or groups to "shut down the system".
