Guest ruisu Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 When Windows Firewall altered me that it blocked a program and I chose to to block it, the program was still allowed to send traffic. I tried manually blocking the program by making an Inbound and Outbound rule in the Advanced Security console, but this isn't working either. Screen of Windows alerting me: http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/908/70924482tj1.png Screen of the traffic passing by anyway: http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/7333/66837047si4.png Does anyone know why the Firewall seems to be failing? Thank you~ Quote
Guest FromTheRafters Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 The first image reads "incoming connections" are to be blocked. Sending traffic is allowed, receiving traffic is allowed, only the incoming connections are disallowed. But this didn't help. Here's my outbound rule...mirrored in the inbound section: http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/9562/outboundqn7.png Quote

Maybe this will shed some light on your problem though: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366453.aspx Quote
