windows security center won't let me change my automatic update

settings. When I click on automatic updating>change settings>Install

updates automatically(Recommended) I get an error message from Windows

Security Center that says "Security center can't change your automatic

updating settings." I have User Account Control turned off. Any

suggestions?

Turn UAC back on and see if that helps. If you've already tried that, what

antivirus/security program(s) do you have installed? One or more of those

programs may be "protecting" any changes you make. If this is the case, you

have to find that option in the program and change/disable it.
