Guest w1ckedgurl4ever Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 windows security center won't let me change my automatic update settings. When I click on automatic updating>change settings>Install updates automatically(Recommended) I get an error message from Windows Security Center that says "Security center can't change your automatic updating settings." I have User Account Control turned off. Any suggestions? -- w1ckedgurl4ever Quote

One or more of those programs may be "protecting" any changes you make. If this is the case, you have to find that option in the program and change/disable it.
