802.1x in windows xp

Hi,

I want to implement 802.1x authentication using cisco catalyst as

authenticator and windows xp PC as client.

That I want to know is some PC don't have 802.1x authentication in LAN

properties.

Is it depend on the OS (I use Windows Xp sp.2) or depend on ethernet card.
