Guest I0ri Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 When ever i do a search with google, yahoo or window live. the left hand side of my internet explorer screen will be blank, i also realise there is like a scrollbar on the left which disappear in a blink when the search is loaded. this only applies to web search and wikipedia. when i click on images there is no problem... and also all other website side has no problem... firefox has no problem... And at the same time i have actually encounterd 2 virus yyy1884.exe and ~tmcp.exe @ my C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp. i already manually removed the virus.. so is it related?? there is some tmp files that i am not sure is it virus anot. the 3 tmp files are IEC1.tmp, IEC14.tmp and setd.tmp i need help as i only like to use IE and i hate this!!! beacuse of this i upgrade from ie 7 to ie 8 but still the same.. scan with AVG 8.0.. no virus!!! Therefore don't format with This looks like IE formatting problem and not malware. Additionally it was an assumption that what you had were "viruses" and not just non-viral-malware. My suggestion is to REMOVE IE7, reboot and then re-install IE7 and see if the installation process corrcect the malformed web page rendering problem.
