I have a strange problem on one machine (not seen with other ones).

When trying to install a programme (MicLab, a profesional sofware written

for Win95/98) on this machine (Win XP), the installer installs Roxio Go Back

instead (this doe snot occur with other Win XP machines; there the installer

installs the correct programme).

What could be the reason and how can I correct thhis problem ?

Remove all copies of same named (setup.exe) files, or run the install

program from a seperate folder than one that has another setup.exe

in it.

You should always install this way so the installation won't un-archive

its own setup.exe only to have the program call the wrong one.

Make sure your temporary files are cleaned out. I've had this happen a few

times and then I went and looked in my temporary files and it was installing

another program that had left its setup.exe in temporary files.
