Guest t-4-2 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Vista Home Premium SP 1, 32-bit. 2 GB ram, 120 GB HD, Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop. I received a CD from PartyCasino.com .The CD is a software to be installed in order to play casino games. I started installing and came across a prompt ( see screenshot ) asking me if I agreed to download Active Content. I got worried and cancelled the process. Advice please. Thank you. t-4-2 Quote

It would have provided you with this kind of information: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/e...549a2c1033.mspx It seems like your casino software runs in the Internet browser, and thus requires ActiveX controls (browser "add-ins") to be installed. If you trust the casino software completely, you can safely install. The risks are buggy software (which can be uninstalled if you experience problems) and ad-/spyware (which may prove a bit harder to get rid of). Use your favourite search engine to find more information, reviews etc on this casino software, before you make your decision. Charlie42 Quote
Guest t-4-2 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I did not before I cancelled the installation. Then I put the CD back on, that page with the warning did not show up any more. It went right to next stage. Meaning I did not have a chance to read it the 2nd time. It's OK. I've decided NOT to install anyway. Thank you. t-4-2 "Charlie42" <Charlie42@spam.me.not> wrote in message news:#NNuTx5fJHA.4868@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl...<span style="color:blue"> > "t-4-2" <dhuang1@cogeco.ca> wrote: ><span style="color:green"> >> Vista Home Premium SP 1, 32-bit. 2 GB ram, 120 GB HD, Dell >> Inspiron 1420 laptop. >> I received a CD from PartyCasino.com .The CD is a software to >> be installed in order to play casino games.
