Guest Benedictum Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I am just curious. Would the malwares created by some developers of Anti-Malware application? Doing this would guarantee that there would always be a market of anti-malware applications. Quote
Guest Tom [Pepper] Willett Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Yep, they do it all the time. And Elvis was spotted with JFK in the Bahamas. No. Organizations like the Russian Busines Network and other sysndicates keep anti malware organizations busy enough. They fight malware, they do NOT create malware !! -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html Multi-AV - http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/dl/35905.asp Quote

Do manufacturers of paint thinner go put spray paint graffiti on walls to create a market for their paint thinner to remove the graffiti? Do you see cops robbing the corner grocery store to create crime to make them busier? Consumer-grade anti-malware products have a low profit margin. Enterprise-level anti-malware authors rely on their reputation to generate continued [re]sales. Would you risk your business on shady practices by generating the problem you claim to solve? Or are you asking about malware itself or possible asking about rogueware? A legit anti-malware company doesn't produce malware. After all, you CAN find those software vendors and you could file lawsuits to claim damages. They don't need to produce malware. There are sufficient peuriles, malcontents, wannabe OS hackers, and other undesirables around to keep busy the anti-malware authors. Quote

Would you use an anti-something program that you knew a malware writer was affiliated with? Quote
