Guest ctc Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Once upon a time I created a self signed Windows Default Certificate Digital ID and stored it in the Windows Certificate Store using Acrobat 7 professional. That Digital ID has now expired. Is there a way to renew that ID, or should I just remove it and create a new one to replace it? Quote
Guest Brian Komar \(MVP\) Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 You will have to create a new one and replace it. To renew a certificate, you must sign the request with the existing certificate. Because yours has expired, you cannot use it to sign the request, as it is no longer valid for use Brian "ctc" <ctc@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:42EAC926-B794-4350-B8EC-BABA72344480@microsoft.com... > Once upon a time I created a self signed Windows Default Certificate > Digital > ID and stored it in the Windows Certificate Store using Acrobat 7 > professional. > > That Digital ID has now expired. > > Is there a way to renew that ID, or should I just remove it and create a > new > one to replace it? Quote
