Renew Expired Digital ID?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Once upon a time I created a self signed Windows Default Certificate Digital

ID and stored it in the Windows Certificate Store using Acrobat 7

professional.

That Digital ID has now expired.

Is there a way to renew that ID, or should I just remove it and create a new

one to replace it?

You will have to create a new one and replace it.

To renew a certificate, you must sign the request with the existing

certificate.

Because yours has expired, you cannot use it to sign the request, as it is

no longer valid for use
