Guest Rene Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Hi, I am new to SMS2003 and I was task to implement monthly update for all my advance client desktop pc. I have tried windows update wizard on SMS when creating new package and SMS will present me all the updates(old or new)which I believe downloaded automatically from MS website. My issue is I need only the latest monthly update but it is very difficult to select and could not filter the updates example by dates. But I do know that if I go to windows Update Catalog directly from MS, I can filter by date and select whichever I needed and download them into my local folder on SMS. Here is my question, how can I integrate or authorize this update files which I downloaded from MS so that the "patchAuthorize.xml is updated. Is there any tools that it can update the xml file. I can open it through notepad and add these update files to update it but I will be prone by errors. Your help is highly appreciated. thanks,, Rene Quote

Guest Garth Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 This would not be supported by MS. But Here is a question for you why do you only want last month’s HF, why wouldn't you want all HF that are needed? Hope it helps. / Ebbe Quote
