Guest Gum Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Is it possible to use Windows Server 2008 within a domain in which all clients (each with antivirus software) are connected to the internet without the use of an antivirus software? Are there installation types that easily restrict the surface area exposed to a minimum, but can be as readily adjusted to enable selected processes to run? Quote

The server and workstations should ALL have anti virus software installed. Possibly one anti virus vendor's solution on the server and another's on the workstations. -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html Multi-AV - http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/dl/35905.asp Quote

Don't forget that many compromises happen from within the network, by users bringing in things they should not be permitted to bring in. -- - Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum. - Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist" spam999free@rrohio.com (remove 999 for proper email address) Quote
