Guest Kevin Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I am running Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, Version 2002, Service Pack 3. Using IE7. When trying to use Live OneCare safety scanner I get the following... We're sorry. This version of the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner doesn't work with your Web browser or operating system. You need Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows Server 2003, or Windows 2000 Server. You also need either Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or MSN® 9.0 or higher. ---------- Additionally, trying to update windows or office redirects me to a google page, 404 error. Quote
Guest ~BD~ Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Hello Kevin Try this http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/?lng=en Easy to use FREE curing utility to clean your computer infected with viruses and various unwanted codes by the Dr.Web Anti-virus updated once or several times an hour. What is Dr.Web CureIt!? This is a FREE anti-virus and anti-spyware utility based on Dr.Web Anti-virus scanner, which will help you quickly scan and cure, if necessary, a computer operated by MS Windows 95OSR2/ 98/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP/2003/Vista without installation of the Dr.Web Anti-virus. Dr.Web CureIt! automatically detects the language of the OS it is installed to and sets the scanner interface accordingly (if the local language is not supported, English is enabled). If you are able to download the facility - update it and save it. Restart your computer is safe mode, find Dr Web and run it. Good luck! Dave -- Quote
