Guest t-4-2 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Vista Home Premium SP 1, WLM 14v Today Windows Defender icon shows up in task bar with an exclamation mark. I went and clicked Check for update. It came back saying no new definition is available. But the icon with exclamation mark remains in task bar. Any idea why ? Any cause for concern ? Thank you. t-4-2 Quote

Guest Spirit Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Your internet connection may have glitched, sometimes Defender does that..... used to happen here when I had a really poor internet connection. Open Defender and see if it ran the scan.
