Guest Bill Ridgeway Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Every time I send an email (Outlook Express) the addressee's email address goes into the 'Allowed list' of Norton Internet Security (2009) Antispam. This produces a long list of addressees. I want the option of deciding which ones go in but haven't yet found a way to do so. Any suggestions please? Thanks. Bill Ridgeway Quote

Guest ...winston Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Configuring the Allowed and Blocked lists in Norton Internet Security 2009 http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/...4828EN&ln=en_US Three areas are covered. Import your address book Add and email address Remove an email address Note: you may have to turn off AntiSpam to prevent future additions. Guest PA Bear [MS MVP] Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 You may have to disable Norton AntiSpam as well as NAV's email scanning & Office plug-in for OE to work properly and minimize corruption (i.e., loss of messages). ....winston wrote: > Configuring the Allowed and Blocked lists in Norton Internet Security 2009 > http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/...4828EN&ln=en_US <snip> > Note: you may have to turn off AntiSpam to prevent future additions. > > "Bill Trollway" wrote: >> Every time I send an email (Outlook Express) the addressee's email >> address >> goes into the 'Allowed list' of Norton Internet Security (2009) Antispam. >> This produces a long list of addressees. Guest ...winston Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Yes...though neither(NAV email scanning or the Office Plugin) impact the AntiSpam module from adding entries to the allowed list. -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "PA Bear [MS MVP]" <PABearMVP@gmail.com> wrote in message news:uKC3PtJtJHA.1088@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > You may have to disable Norton AntiSpam as well as NAV's email scanning & > Office plug-in for OE to work properly and minimize corruption (i.e., loss > of messages). > > ...winston wrote: >> Configuring the Allowed and Blocked lists in Norton Internet Security 2009 >> http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/...4828EN&ln=en_US > <snip> >> Note: you may have to turn off AntiSpam to prevent future additions. >> >> "Bill Trollway" wrote: >>> Every time I send an email (Outlook Express) the addressee's email >>> address >>> goes into the 'Allowed list' of Norton Internet Security (2009) Antispam. >>> This produces a long list of addressees. I took your advice and, after much waiting answering questions several times over, I had the impression that the techie the other end couldn't find an answer. This may have been incompetence but it may also be that what I (reasonably) expected just can't be done. If this is the case I and the other few thousand others using Norton Internet Security 2009 AntiSpam (it wasn't there in the previous stand-alone version) are stuck with every used email address being assumed to be OK to go into the Allowed List and not being given the option.
