Guest Todd Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Where should I post a question in regard to a Windows error I receive when attempting to map a network drive when VPN'ed into a network? The error is "1265 The system detected a possible attempt to compromise security." Thanks, Todd Quote

Guest Todd Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Thanks, Shenan, I will check these. I should have elaborated more. I have a PC that is part of a MS domain. When I log this PC out of the domain, and log into the Windows (not the domain), then VPN into this network (where this domain resides), I can successfully map this drive. When I log this PC into the domain (whether or not it's directly connected to this network), then VPN into the network, I cannot map this very same drive. And I get error 1265. Guest Anteaus Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Also check for faulty powersave options on the LAN driver. Whilst I've never seen them produce this message, it's a distict possibility. The VPN may be slightly more tolerant of a shaky connection than the direct wire, hence the difference.
