Guest ladibug Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I have Service Pack 2 and Norton Antivirus/spyware. My subscription runs until 2010. Yesterday I was trying to run the antivirus scan. I could click on it and it acts like it will open, but then it doesn't. I came to Microsoft.com and tried to view my update history but got an error message. I then ran the OneCare scan overnight. It said it found 3 issues but fixed them. However, today I still cannot open the antivirus software and am still getting the update history error. Could this be a sign of worm infection? Quote

Could this be a sign of worm infection?</span> Hello: What identification was given the 3 issues? Without further diagnosis, it's not possible to accurately characterize your problem. Download, install, update and run the freeware versions of MBAM & SAS: <http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php> <http://www.superantispyware.com/> Please update this thread with your progress and detailed identities of malware found. Although you declined to completely identify your OS, one might deduce you're running one of the many forms of XP. If this is true, do you have any issues with updating to SP3? Would you please more accurately describe your Norton product and if when it was functioning, had it been updated with the latest database? best wishes, Pete -- 1PW @?6A62?FEH9:DE=6o2@=]4@> [r4o7t] Quote
