Guest pamarths Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I observed that, system process is listening on bootps port and answering PXE requests though I didn't had any PXE server components installed. It is a windows XP machine. I scanned with AV and few anti-spyware tools but no infections has been reported. I searched in internet for similar behaviors but no luck. Could you people will be able to comment what might went wrong here. I am final goal is to identify the cause. Please let me know if you need any details. Quote

Download the GUI based TCPView utility. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb897437.aspx This will allow you to see what program is opening what TCP or UDP port as it happens. When it does, extract the information of what program is opening port 67 (or 68) and identify if it is openeing the port or communicating to another system through that port. Provide that information in your reply. -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html Multi-AV - http://www.pctipp.ch/downloads/dl/35905.asp Quote
