Debate This Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 [/url]Reuters - Democrats said on Friday that warnings about former Rep. Mark Foley's inappropriate contact with young congressional aides were "swept under the rug" by Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives intent on protecting their power. Lethalfind Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 "The House Ethics Committee has approved some 50 subpoenas for what it promised would be an aggressive and wide-ranging investigation." I can't WAIT to see the fall out from this. I LOVE it when the self righteous fall face first in the pile of shit their lives are !!! Republican Family Values at its best !! hugo Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Of course, Nancy Pelosi marched with NAMBLA. Pat Buchanan Alfred Kinsey in "Sexual Behavior and the American Male" reported on experiments he himself oversaw to prove the psychic benefits of sex between men, boys, tots and even infants. And this sicko had a Hollywood movie, "Kinsey," starring Liam Neeson, celebrate his genius. In Washington, D.C., the most Democratic precinct in America, the age of consent is 16. Had Foley and his heartthrob skipped off to a motel, there would have been no crime involved. Yet Foley has the FBI on his trail for sending lewd e-mails to a 16-year-old. If the Republican House leadership is guilty of anything, it is of being too tolerant, of allowing Political Correctness, a fear of being called homophobic, to trump common sense. Whether we admit it or not, many male homosexuals have a thing for teenage boys, which is why so many of them wind up with black eyes when they try to pick them up. The GOP leadership should have seen instantly, from the early e-mails, that Foley was one of these, and followed up to see if there was more than one page with whom he was flirting. If the pages knew Foley was someone to steer clear of, why did not the leadership? Yet, even if the GOP takes the hit in November for this sordid, squalid mess, the party of gay activists is setting the bar mighty high for its libertine wing. If salacious e-mails to teens are now a capital crime, Foley is not going to be the last congressmen outed and ousted. builder Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I think Hugo a Gogo is onto it. Smoke-screening about very sensitive issues such as adults lusting after teens is clogging the news right about now (election time). What are we missing? Oh, that's right, the important issues, like war, islamophobia, false flag operations, CIA outings, torture bills, dismal foreign policy decisions, and little Condi fucking around in war zones, stirring more shit. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
Lethalfind Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 I think part of the problem here is that Foley is in a party who believes homosexuality is wrong and here he is not only gay but using government computers to chat up the boys who are pages, thats what I find so hilarious !!! Their own Congressmen can't stick the high moral code they set up... Its the hypocracy of it all. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
builder Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Isn't Faux News labelling him a democrat? I just can't equate rationality with boxing people repug or dimmy. Is there no middle ground over there in the US of A? You've surely heard the term "Divide and Conquer"? Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
Lethalfind Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 There isn't a middle ground when you have run on that ticket and been elected as a Republican. Even if you personally feel different on a key issue such as homosexuality, you would have to stay silent or risk not being elected to office and for ALL politicians (Dems and Repubs both), they would rather lie then NOT be elected. I was looking over a list of Congressman, trying to find one labeled Independent and found none that had voted on a bill that I was reading about. He is a Republican pure and simple. Which also makes him a hypocrite. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
TooDrunkToFuck Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Bill 'O Reilly's sexual indiscretions were funnier and more ironic. For some reason or another, it appears people quickly forgot about those and kept buying his line of crap. I wonder if this will go away as quickly or stick around like the Clinton/Monica deal. I agree, by the way. When you're a public official caught in a morally reprehensible act, that's one thing. When you're a public official attempting to force traditional morality on a country through legislature, then get caught in an act that's morally reprehensible by traditional standards, that's on a whole 'nother level. 1 Quote

Exactly. Tall poppy syndrome. Get the bastards out of the closet. It's not like getting a headjob is a crime, but pretending you don't do it, is farcical. Using your position to get some is passe, but downgrading others for what you do in "private" is a fucking joke. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
Lethalfind Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 "but downgrading others for what you do in "private" is the Republican way in this instance... That is not too say the Democrats would be above doing the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
TooDrunkToFuck Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Both major parties suck and tend to run things with little difference, barring a few "moral" issues that keep idiots picking sides like it's a football game. Thing about this is just the fact that Democrats claim to support greater personal freedom (though they do things like affirmative action which are counter-productive), so when they get caught, it's not as big a deal.
