ToriAllen Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Dems will get the Senate too, and the mess I am speaking of, is the way that the world HATES us all, and the way that our troops are NOT fighting a fucking war anymore, they are merely caught up in the crossfire . Iraqi people NEED to fight their own fight with each other for their own democracy. There is no need to be there. Finally something is gonna get done to bring the troops home where they belong. . The stupidest thing that could be done right now is pull the troops out, and everyone that got elected knows that. They may have used the war to get voted in, but they don't have a plan on what else can be done. Mark my words, the troops will not be coming home any time soon, democratic congress or not. FYI, the rest of the world has and will always hate us no matter who is in office. At least the Republicans can scare them into the open. There is no mess to clean up, just necessities that most people don Quote Smart men learn from their own mistakes; Wise men learn from others. RoyalOrleans Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 What mess? You never did explain what mess they are cleaning up. It still comes down to the Senate race. Dems can have the House. The real power is in the Senate. No.. let's not throw the House to wind like a fistful of confetti. The actual power lies in the House of Representatives. Which are in fact elected officials that represent the people. Now I perish the thought of Nancy Pelosi being the third in line for the presidency. The Senate is a carry over from the days of the Republic, when a Republican meant only rich landowning protestant white men could vote. I meant as far as the issues that the Dems are saying they are going to do something about, the Senate has the power. The Senate is the part of congress that would have the power to try to bring the troops home, but that won't happen anyway. It also has the power to approve the Presidents nominees for offices held. RoyalOrleans Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I know. That is a scary thought... If she wasn't such a radical, I would be happier than a lark in a tree about her new position... you go girl! She is a wolf in sheep's clothing and a socialist agenda pusher.
