And why am I the bad guy? I didn't hack the site. It was something that was discovered accidently through a typical google search. What's the beef? Oh, and it was NOT a secret. We mentioned the existence of the link on SEVERAL occasions in the GF chat room. At least I did. Can't speak for Eddo. It was not something I was hiding.

Maybe you should be thankful for this situation bringing the fact out that chat can be accessed that way.

I am speaking about conversations between GF members that could have been seen by people OTHER then members you stupid bitch.

 

If GF members see other conversations it is no big deal, if people who have not registered are seeing GF private conversations, it is a serious security issue.

You weren't talking to me but the question was for me. Well, honestly, I didn't know it was an issue. I figured if someone is saying something online, it can't be too secretive. Unless they are an idiot and don't know better.

 

Again, this was something that was discussed in chat on numerous occasions and was known long before I ever arrived here. If I see another glitch, I will be sure to let Bob know. The last time I discovered a problem, the first thing I did was message him.

If someone wants to post their personal information on the internet, that is their prerogative. A member posting someone else’s personal information is vindictive, pathetic, and low. However, what should happen when something that occurs on a website has the ability to affect your real life? Lethal Find is a single mother who lives alone with her child. No member should be subjected to having their personal information posted on the internet without their consent. To my knowledge this was not information she offered to you on a personal level but information you collected while performing duties for this website. Although the information has since been edited, anyone could have used the internet to find her physical address by using her land line phone number.

 

I'm not one for taking sides in personal matters but wrong is wrong.

 

The security leak in the chat room is a completely different matter. These members chose to submit their own confidential information. It might not have been wise but it was their choice. Lethal Find neither submitted her information nor did she offer her consent.

 

Anyone with any sense of ethics should realize the act of violating someone else's privacy is wrong.

Again, you have no legitimate rebuttal. This is a debate forum. Consistently threatening the privacy of members who disagree with your opinions or actions is beyond weak.

 

Anyways, I have offered my two cents worth and am now bowing out of this thread gracefully. The issue has been resolved and the member's personal information was deleted.
