Guest SultanaRaks Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Two weeks ago, after getting help from MS , during which SP3 was installed via remote access, had a successful upgrade. Yay! Now we get the "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting, This copy of Windows did not pass genuine Windows validation." message at the screen's bottom right corner, and a black background instead of my usual wallpaper. Our software is real, we've never had this issue before. And I have to guess that the SP3 from the windows tech was genuine as well. When I try to go through the troubleshooting steps in the provided link, it just takes me to a "Upgrade to Windows 7" page. Don't want to do that, plan to retire this workstation before the end of the year. What can I do to get rid of this issue? Many thanks, SultanaRaks Continue reading... Quote
