Guest DHK2 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 My user has a Windows XP system. She recently upgraded to IE8 from IE7. Soon after, the web pages were displaying, what I call, primitive graphics. For example, on www.yahoo.com, the fancy Yahoo Graphic in upper left corner of the window does not display. The shading of light blue along the top and side do not appear. When displaying the Google home page, the gray bar at the top of the screen is only a series of white boxes. I installed Mozilla Firefox and it had the same problem! Troubleshooting steps I followed: Reset IE8 to default settings under the Internet Options/Advanced tab. Checked Display properties. It showed default 32-bit color setting. All other programs and Windows screens appear normally. I would appreciate any suggestions regarding the cause of this problem.
