Came home from work this evening and my wife told me her laptop was infected with some type of malware. MS Security Essentials will not load and doesn't show as running in desktop menu bar. Task Manager will not run either so pretty sure some form of infection has taken place. I'm just wondering why MS Security Essentials didn't capture it? Only fix I could see online was at http://remove-malware.net/get-rid-of-windows-antihazard-solution-fake-app-to-eliminate-the-risk/ Tried manual fix first, but unable to run regedit from either normal or safe mode or safe mode (command prompt). PC Tools Scan Doctor installed but register and payment required to use full solution - so have rebuffed that one. Any advice and guidance on how I can remove, be very much appreciated.
