Guest MeUnique Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I recently upgraded my Microsoft Office 2007 to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. Then, my nightmare began. Every time I would open Word 2010, and all other MS Office programs, I get this error message: "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more details. So, here's the event log that even confuses me more: General Description: Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\URLREDIR.DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.30729.1292" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
