Guest scalyback1 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I am currently creating a new Windows 7 image to deploy where I work, I have used the MDK and that part has been great, Office 2010 Pro installs and I have slipstreamed SP 1 into the deployment, my first problem was getting 4 KB's not to show in Windows Update. (KB's 2553270, 2553310, 2553290, 2583935) even though I used the MDK to install them, and they show installed in the "View Installed Updates" Windows Update still said I need to download/install. I devised a simple answer map a share to the software in DOS and using admin credentials ran each KB manually, rebooted and put my admin details in for the share to show it again and I could then Shutdown and Install updates. Once that completed I switched the laptop back on and connected to Windows Update to be presented with the Office 2010 SP1 download/install option. I then checked my "View Installed Updates" again and sure enough Office 2010 Pro SP1 is installed. Now I am stuck I cannot capture my image until I resolve the above, I have rebooted, rebuilt till I am blue in the face still the same issue, Windows Update says I need SP1 for Office, I am not installing it again so I am at an impasse. I even downloaded SP 1 and used 7zip to extract the .msp for SP1 and lo and behold it is the same one that is in my build. Some or alot of constructive help is needed please.
