Guest Louisb Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I want to increase the size of my "C" drive on my laptop. I'm going to move from a 640 gigabyte drive to a 1TB drive. My approach to this is following: Backup my system using an image backup. I will be using a backup features within Windows 7 x86-64 Ultimate. Perform a physical swap of the hard drive. Load Windows on my system again. Excute a restore created previously from the backup done eariler. Use diskpart to expand the physical volume. Will the above process work? What have I left out?
