Guest Patrick Gotthardt Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Hi, I've found a way to let IE9 crash with very simple Javascript that we use in one of our products. We were able to remove it from our code but I think its a good idea to fix it in IE itself. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to contact the IE development team in private since I suppose it isn't the best idea to present a demo on how to crash IE in public (I'm not into security so I have no idea if this could be used to do actual harm to the visitor of a page other than shutting her browser down). I'd be happy to send a "working" example, reduced to about 6 or 7 lines of Javascript to an IE developer or, if requested, present it here. I suspect that IE10 will also crash when executing the code but I haven't tested it yet. Please let me know how I should proceed. Thanks, Patrick Continue reading... Quote
